While collecting Roald Dahl’s short stories poses challenges, collecting the magazines containing articles and interviews will likely keep one busy for a lifetime – there are many and some are extremely difficult to find. This article is by no means comprehensive – it only represents the ones I have acquired over a number of years.

Here’s a list of possible additions to the list of articles Dahl wrote or interviews with him. They were supplied by the Dahl Museum Archives who, regretfully, weren’t always able to determine if the article was published, or the name of the magazine it appeared in or the date (the dates held at the Museum were often related to when something was completed or sent rather than its publishing date).
– The Lancet (Wade-Dahl-Till valve) – published possibly in 1963 or 1964 but no month or issue number
– October 30, 1965 Woman’s Mirror (A Cautionary Tale for Parents)
– Sept. 28, 1976 Happy End (Japanese magazine – the name wasn’t supplied)
– 1980 (?) (no firm date or source) review of McBain book ‘Ghosts’
-1981 Penguin (Punishment – weren’t positive that it was published)
– July 20, 1982 Puffin Post (On Grandmothers) date doesn’t conform with Puffin’s usual format for this period – it might perhaps be in Vol. 16 #3 – fall, 1982
– August 1983 Literary Review (Not a Chivalrous Affair – review of Clifton/Leroy book ‘God Cried’ (unable to determine whether this was in a Literary Review from the US or the UK. I recently saw a copy of the August 18-24, 1983 issue of Time Out magazine (#678) that contained this article and wondered if it might be the actual publisher.
– June 1985 Penguin (A Visit to Roald Dahl – weren’t positive that it was published)
– 1987 NSPCC publication called When We Were Young (There was no information as to whether this is a newsletter or something else.
– an article entitled ‘Joss Spivis’)
– October (?) 1986 Sunday Times (My Time of Life)
– Sept. 1989 The Children’s Book Council NY, (weren’t positive that it was published)
– Oct. 1989 Observer – a short work on children’s books but no title supplied
